King Richard Leeks
Allium porrum ‘King Richard’

This is a beautiful full-sized leek variety.

In favorable soil and culture, the white shanks are over a foot long to the first leaf. Medium-green leaves with full habit.

They will withstand medium-heavy frost (32° to 20°F/0° to -7°C) without losing their healthy appearance.

Sow in flats indoors in early spring or direct sow outside after the last frost date in late spring.

Thin to 6”spacing.

Mulch well in summer to have white shanks. Harvest in the fall.
